What is a good hostess gift when I’m coming from another city?
I am invited at my fiance’s aunt’s for Christmas dinner. She is a very classy lady and has sent us flowers and/or gifts in many occasions. I will be going there from another city. She lives in another city 3 hours from mine. What should I take with me? My grandmother suggested I buy a cake from a nice bakery from her city and take it with me. Is that ok?
I was thinking I could bake some cookies and take them with me. If I do, can I take a bottle of perfume for her?
Should the gift on a day like this be edible so it can be enjoyed by all her guests rather than only herself? There will be roughly 12 people from my fiance’s family there.
Please share your opinions and experience. Thanks!
That sounds like you’re taking a good gift. Or just take them a bottle of wine. I always do that whenever someone invites me over to their house for dinner. I get my sister Yellowtail Shiraz.

Your suggestions will be just fine. Others are any bottle of champagne, or wine. Flowers, a coffee gift basket. One of those edible arrangments, etc.
