While many plants produce fruit and flowers that are fragrant, delicious, and nutritious, there are others that are actually poisonous to human beings, especially to children.

Children normally tend to grab and put in their mouth anything within reach and because their immune system is not yet fully developed are often the ones who pay the heaviest price.

Parents should be aware of the type of plants and/or flowers that fall under the category of "Toxic" and make sure to either place them out of their children's reach, or do without them altogether.
